419 Scholarship Fund

Invest in Ministry Families' Growth in Missional Resilience.

video preview

Help ministry families invest in the deep work God so often uses for lasting healing.

πŸ’ My approach weaves together research in resilience, clinical skills in marriage and family therapy, and a pastoral presence formed by 25 years of vocational ministry.

πŸ’ Through online workshops, counseling retreats, and ongoing sessions, ministry families receive the supportive space needed to grow in missional resilience.

πŸ’ Glory of God! Throughout the world, ministry families are moving from distress to show up with greater presence and virtue for the people and communities they love and serve.

What to Expect When You Contribute:

βœ… Updates with gratitude from those impacted by your generosity.

βœ… Monthly receipt emails sharing praise and prayer updates.

βœ… A shared rhythm of intercession: those who receive join in praying for the needs of those who contribute, so that together each of us gives what we can and receives what we needβ€”for the greater glory of God our Father.

YES! I want to invest in the missional resilience of minister families:

FAQs

1. How Are 419 Scholarship Funds Used?

  • 100% of what’s given is used to provide scholarships for minister families.
  • This means that before my own family can benefit from your generosity, we get to first bless another ministry family.
  • For example, I try to offer
    • $100–$200 a month for ongoing counseling sessions
    • $500 - $1,000 for counseling retreats.
    • $50 - $100 for workshops.

2. Are Contributions Tax-Deductible?

  • Not this year. I do not yet hold 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
  • If tax deductibility is important to you, please let me knowβ€”I'm exploring options for the future.

3. Is Accountability Important To You? -Absolutely!

  • Funds are held in a separate business bank account until distributed. This creates healthy boundaries between what my practice earns and what I am free to give away.
  • Three times a year, you’ll receive a report showing the total contributed, total distributed, and current balance with stats, testimonies, and reflections on how your contributions have been stewarded.
  • The monthly receipts include updated prayer points.
  • You can always contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas.

4. Why Call It The 419 Scholarship Fund?

  • Named after Philippians 4:19:
    • β€œAnd this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
  • Those who receive these funds join in praying for all the needs of those who give, and those who give pray for the needs of those who benefit from your generosity.
  • Together, each of us gives what we can and receives what we need--for the greater glory of God.
  • It is categorically different to sit with a family in ministry knowing the faithful contributors who join us in prayerful support, vs. sitting with them alone (Matthew 18:19).
